Social Network it’s just not a word it a revolution of world. We live in a world which will make a history and we should be proud of it. We take Social network very casually we don’t understand its importance Correctly. This a kind of media which has evolved in a short span of time and now it has become a part of our lives. The Right to Freedom of thought and expressions as in our Constitution get a new level through the medium of social media. As we know it well that before social media we had only two kinds of media Print and electronic media and now today in our time we have Social Media thanks to it I can write this blog You all can comment .Social media has done a lot we don’t understand every post or comment in the website adds to our culture. It is very powerful and it is unbiased as people directly express their opinion.
Let me first tell You how it all started.....
In the starting years of social network we had
Bulletin Board System (BBS) which was an online meeting place which allowed users to communicate with the central system were they could download games and post messages to other users. Even before Internet there were other social interaction avenues. One such option was CompuServe, a service that began life in the 1970s as a business-oriented mainframe computer communication solution were members were allowed to share files and events and email and also have group discussions, but expanded into the public domain in the late 1980s.

But if there is a true precursor to today’s social networking sites, it was likely spawned under the AOL (America Online) umbrella. In many ways, and for many people, AOL was the Internet before the Internet, and its member-created communities (complete with searchable "Member Profiles," in which users would list pertinent details about themselves), were arguably the service’s most fascinating, forward-thinking feature.
Yet there was no stopping the real Internet, and by the mid-1990s. It was moving full On . Yahoo had just set up shop, Amazon had just begun selling books, and the race to get a PC in every household was on. And, by 1995, the site that may have been the first to fulfil the modern definition of social networking was born. And then many sites coming up
Then we had sites coming up as classmate.com and six degree, classmate got success then six degree. Then we had launching of Friendster in 2002 , LinkedIn and MySpace in 2003 and then we had orkut in 2004, and then we had Facebook in 2006 and twitter in 2006. And these all sites changed our life.

This Social media gave us power like I said earlier you all must be Wondering what kind of power, It is the power of public opinion which has led to a great change in society .Let me give you a very current example of the Egyptian revolt a girl posted on Facebook that she is going to Tahrir Square and standing alone and holding a banner and then what was it we all know so many people were there after that. And other examples would be the posting of videos which create a awareness as one example would be of thanes pani puri vendor who used to urinate in the plates in which he used to severe and I am sure their many more worldwide. Social media is growing so important that even Mumbai police has a page on Facebook to keep its citizens aware. Anything happening in any corner of the world can be know which has world wide reactions which tells us that people have power
In the end I would like to say That I am proud to be born in an era where there is social Network were people can express their opinion freely.
”Social Media is Our Power Use It For A Good Cause
And Bring A Revolution”
